KISS, the principle noted by the US Navy back in 1960. KISS is an acronym for “Keep it simple, stupid” The KISS principle states that most systems work best if they are kept simple rather than made complicated; well that sounds familiar…
Not that we have any association to the US Navy, we too would note this principle as something we abide by. We make desks, put the components in a box and move those boxes. Simple?
Actually what goes on in the background to make this process simple is actually quite advanced. However, the processes are based upon simple principles of communication, accountability and reliability.
All desks serve a purpose. Ultimately they stop a user’s stuff from lying on the floor. There are desks made of crates and kitchen worktops, there are desks made of cardboard even. However Claremont Centre desks are made of real materials, ones that last and are more than just a desk.
Simple to spec. We are told our price guide is the easiest to use. It’s moderate in size, logical in orientation and is ring bound to take up less space. KISS.
Simple pricing for delivery. Free to site for big orders. Free to warehouse for small orders. Tiny charge for tiny orders. All communicated up front. KISS.
Simple ordering. Email a P.O. and we acknowledge with clear instruction of what we will do. Nothing more, nothing less. KISS.
Simple delivery. We have a cut off on Thursday at midday. All those orders are picked and loaded on Friday and through the weekend. You’re told on Friday when your order will arrive (unless you have a dedicated time for one of those big orders). KISS.
Simple to put together. 2 guys can do it in 15 minutes, for a cluster of 6 (so what? you’re thinking, take a look below).
You have an install of 120 desks as clusters of 6.
Claremont cluster takes 15 minutes (another takes 45).
Claremont installer time on site: 5 hours (another takes 15 hours)
Depending upon what you are charged for installation, another desk could take three times as long to install. Three times more expensive. KISS.
Simple warranty. No quibble. Doesn’t get any simpler than that. the most important party in a warranty claim is the end user. We make sure their needs are addressed as a priority. Our dealer admin comes after. By doing so, we protect your reputation & relationship with your customer. KISS.
Simple communication. Drop us an email, ping us a WhatsApp, Skype video call us, FaceTime, phone call or let us drop in, in person. Simple, straight to the point communication is important, we all know where we stand with a common goal to sell desks! KISS.
Reference: The cardboard desk shown is actually pretty cool. Flexible, foldable, portable, affordable & 100% recyclable. Refold’s cardboard standing desk is designed to change the way you work. But, it’s still not a proper desk, is it?
