The weather favourable, the route planned, trackers tracked, plasters ready, bottles filled and the Fourfront Group are ready to kick off their latest charity drive in support of Shooting Star Chase: a leading children’s hospice charity caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families.
The walk, for the 40 milers was an incredible achievement, a success in team work, perseverance and gusto. Same for the 20’s and 10’s but a huge admiration for the guys doing the full 40. The second half of the walk tested their resolve, patience and physical abilities to make it to the finish where we are treated to a hog roast and beers for all. We would like to thank and congratulate the organisers and participants for inviting us to join them raising money for such a worthy cause. A truly exceptional achievement by all, because of the people but also because over £20,000 was raised.
